Bull Bay exacted timely revenge over Links United to be crowned champions of the Domino Administrators of Jamaica Limited (DAJL) Premier League, closing the inaugural season with a 32-point (250-218) victory in the league final, held at Cookies Night Club in, Portmore, St Catherine.

The triumph came just one week after Bull Bay suffered defeat to Links United in the knockout final, making the league win even sweeter for the team that topped the preliminary standings.

Links United held a slim advantage at the half-time interval, having led 129-123.

Bull Bay regrouped going into the second half, tightening their play and steadily pulled away to secure their first major piece of silverware under the DAJL banner.

Also on the day, Cherry Gardens claimed third place, defeating Mechanical 250-231 in the play-off match.

Cherry Gardens established control early and led by 16 points at half-time, and maintained their advantage through to the final board.

The successful conclusion of the Premier League caps a smooth inaugural staging of the DAJL Premier League and knockout, which began in June and featured seven teams.

Chairperson and chief league organiser of DAJL, Zany Zandra Lewin, praised the overall execution of the tournament, noting the positive feedback from teams and supporters alike, and highlighting the competition's strong organisation and sportsmanship.

The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, also at Cookies Night Club. Individual and team honours were formally presented, in addition to an exhibition match between Premier League champions Bull Bay United and a DAJL all-stars, comprising of selected members from the other six participating teams.
